Excerpt:

This is a story of two humans who love one another like it's going out of style. They are each other's "The One." Simply stated, they love the hell out of one another. They are so incredibly in love that they were silly enough to go into a contract life with one another and the Department of Rules and Contracts, or DORCs for short.

This title was unexpectedly deep, incredibly heartfelt, and loving.

These two characters seemed to fit together perfectly. As I read it, I could feel just how deeply in love they are with one another. It really was a love story. A bit unusual and a little unique, but not for their world. Comfortably loving. It was a glimpse into a different world than mine.

I truly enjoyed it when I realized how The Other Side fell into place. That was cool for me. Like I was invested for some silly reason.

This title was unexpectedly deep, incredibly heartfelt, and loving. If you can't see the obviously intense emotional relationship here, then maybe you didn't read the same thing as I did. But having read The Other Side by K.W. Turner, so much of the dark sarcasm from the author made more sense to me.

Overall, this was fantabulous. I couldn't tell my friends which to read first as they are equally good and different. Like a yin/yang thing. They stand well separately and alone but complete one another. Interesting concept.

Who Knew...

I had no view of this side of relationships. I knew it existed but never guessed that tenderness and love could exist in Dom's and Sub's world. I learned that love has many sides and is expressed in every relationship.

The story is engaging from a personal point of view. It's as though I was in the room and experiencing the action as it occurred. The author put me into the conversations. I believed I was there.

The dialog kept me reading, and it kept me interested and wanting more.

I understand there is another work by this person; I'll be looking for more...

It's a great read.
Five Stars
Nice work!

The Other Side by K.W. Turner - Paperback Alternate Cover RED
Editions:Paperback: $ 11.11
ISBN: 979-8-9870842-9-8
Size: 5.50 x 8.25 in
Pages: 156

There are times when 49 minutes can feel like an eternity leaving you beaten down as a human. You're somewhere, or perhaps at some different time that you don't belong. You've become trapped on The Other Side of the reality that you're supposed to be in; subsequently, your existence is constantly being beaten down and punished. And when the darkness has all but engulfed you, one bit of light can pull you back from The Other Side.

The red cover, as it's known, is from a picture that Punis took one night on his way home to Jessica. While stopped at a traffic light, he opened the window and snapped what would turn out to be a cover shot for an amazingly successful book.

While we here at Secret Freezer all love the OG blue cover, but we also know how important that shot was for Punis, Jessica, and of course, K.W. Turner. That was a gift, you know, among many that Punis has gifted to kdubs.

An intriguing look into mental health and how easily or quickly things can fall apart.

I wasn't sure what to expect going into this, but the cover looked cool, and the description was intriguing. For the price, I've spent more on worse. I found the lead character is very relatable, sometimes a little too much. They really emote their desperation, how depression was pulling them down, and the suicidal nature of those feelings.

The lead seemed to call out for help, but no one was there. And that was a reoccurring theme. They felt lost or trapped. A lot of the nuances of the writing drew me in, such as the narration (POV )style. The problem with Fiction/Drama is that the story is being told to you, and you have to emote. I felt like I knew this story, either myself or a friend, which made it really-really at times. It also made it sadder, empathetically speaking.

I could totally relate to the character, and while it was slightly annoying that you don't find out the character's name until late in the novel (no spoilers), it worked for the book.

What a terrific story - attractive conversational style and excellent dialog - terrific method for conveying the point. I never knew there was this side of life or that it could thrive under my nose.

This boot was a pleasant departure from the pabulum dripping from bookshelves everywhere. It's insightful and tender without being sappy - open and honest - nicely written and engaging.

My wife and I both enjoyed this book immensely.

Excellent Work - Kudos to the author...
